Beacon Village is excited to head into our 5th year of serving the community. Thanks to our community partners, neighbors, volunteers, board, and staff, we have exceeded every Homeless Services Department (HSD) target for success this year! Our phenomenal successes are propelling us into a bright future.

Because of the good work we have done together, we are poised to take bold, enthusiastic steps forward. Now is the perfect time for you to engage in our mission, as we serve even more individuals and continue refining our highly successful programming. 2026 is shaping up to be the most transformative year yet at Beacon Village as we strategically leverage every resource and build upon the strengths that make us unique.

By making a gift anytime between now and on Tuesday, December 2nd, you’ll help us unlock additional prize-grant funding. Every single gift — no matter the size — strengthens our ability to continue to provide a compassionate, supportive shelter for our neighbors on the street who are ready to transform their lives and establish roots in their community.

Beacon Village Lunch Program 12/14/2022

Join us in supporting our unhoused community where they are with the Beacon Village Lunch Program!

The Beacon Village Lunch Program creates trust and community with unhoused people by offering food and respect via daily lunches delivered where they are most needed. This trust accelerates the likelihood of moving recipients into transitional housing at places like Beacon Village. Once in a transitional community, people can get the support they need to get jobs and places to live.

The bottom has fallen out of the funding sources previously used by this meal program. The Oregon Food bank has eliminated the "dock and shop" program, and the City of Portland reduced resources previously used by Beacon Village. Food donations from food retail are harder to come by as the needs in the city have increased.

We need help to fund the lunch program.
Operating five days a week, the lunch program provides over 3,000 hot meals annually, offers an additional 6,250 cold lunches each year, and, most importantly, creates a community that breeds trust and positive change in the city of Portland.

Whatever you can contribute is tax deductible will be put into direct use.
