I wanted to spread the word and recommend this wonderful production of the nutcracker happening this weekend. It is based on the history of Fort Vancouver with the classic Nutcracker music and it is truly magical. All of the dancers are local and I would bet anyone that they will forget that these dancers are not grown professionals…they are amazing young students! I hope the theater is packed for every performance. It’s also a bargain compared to other holiday productions. Get in the spirit and get tickets!

I have welcomed, with open arms, the slow down of January. There is more calm and space for comforting routines to return.

This is a perfect time to refocus on morning and evening skin care routines. This time is part of what will keep wellness a priority in general. Taking care of your skin is a a way to reconnect with ourselves at the start and end each day. It's a lovely ritual that I encourage everyone to do and savor.

Easy ideas to help moisturize

-Switch to a cream or oil cleanser for the season

-Layer products for maximum benefits to every layer of the skin

-Add a serum as a base layer morning and night

-Switch to a heavier, more rich moisturizer than you would use for the summer

-Add an oil on top of everything at night

-Don't forget to gently exfoliate that dead layer off regularly
