Just a few flowers out in my garden today. I can't help but take pictures of all the pretty things growing and blooming. It is exciting to see what pops up each year. I buy most flowers from the clearance sections. Many times, the flowers have already bloomed for the season. This means I won't see flowers until next year, but once planted, they bloom and grow bigger and better year after year.
This is a great way to get good deals on perennial flowers, especially. I also occasionally do get clearance annual flowers, but I only get flowers that re-seed well, or the seeds are easily collected for planting next spring.This allows me to get several years of annual flowers as well.
I am always looking for a good deal and ways to save. No different with gardening. You can also look in local groups. Often, people plant more seeds than they need or want and often offer them at lower costs the big businesses. This is also a great option when looking for house plants.
