2023 has become the year of the highest of highs, and lowest of lows. As many of you know, this past June 28th, I lost my father. Two days later, I lost my “adopted mom” Cherrie (who was my moms best friend and someone in my life since I was in 2nd grade). Words can’t express the magnitude of these losses to my life, as they were also my last connections my life growing up with my mom. But the high of the year, is both Cherrie and my dad saw Larry and I purchase our first home together. And if naming a house is a thing, I think I’ll call our house the “SamCherrie.” While this might come as a surprise to many, we are relocating to South Carolina next week to settle into our (fingers crossed) forever home. Oregon, you have been a great place to live and experience such beauty. And my OR friends - you’ll always remain my friends forever. And to my friends here, thank you for all the joy and love given to myself and my family.
