Looking forward to Spring, playing around with menu items, I’m a little sad to see winter in the rear view…especially with how mild it was.

We’ve been big believers in atsukan for years now but it’s…truly remarkable how well it integrates and pairs with food. Too many stunning examples this year to count. Temperature really is sake’s superpower, and it’s gonna be harder than ever this year to turn the kandoko off when peak summer hits 😮‍💨

This gloomy, gloomy spring week we got to celebrate Molly’s birthday with achar, an impromptu employee curry party, two busy days full of beloved regulars, and a vegan oden week that is already nearly sold out despite me hardly mentioning anything about it 😅 I think soup is in our collective minds 🌧️

It feels really nice to be on the other side of Fuyu fest, wrapping up our winter programming and preparing for spring. I got to clean out my purse for the first time in 6 months, and a refreshed menu is coming soon! Which means next week is our LAST week for oden this year. So it’s gonna be real classic (not as shown, that’s spring veggie vegan oden— 4 left!) with fish cakes, daikon, fresh mochi pouches, local tofu, egg…the usual. If you wanna reserve one let us know.
