Old Pal

It is with great pleasure that we’ll walk joyously into a new chapter for Old Pal. We are overwhelmingly happy to announce the arrival of our old pal as Chef. As many of you know, Timothy won a James Beard Award last year and we are humbled to have him lead us into the finest version of this little corner restaurant yet. He’s our favorite cook on the planet and we can’t wait for him to become yours as well. This partnership has been more than a decade and a half in the making and feels every bit of perfect timing. There are many many exciting plans and special events to come this year and beyond. Stay tuned and come visit soon. We look forward to serving up all sorts of deliciousness to you and yours for years to come.

It feels like the are finally catching up with RVA circa the late ’90’.s. We witnessed , , and all emerge from the same fertile ground and blossom. The current landscape of popular music feels very familiar to all of us working and eating at then…salsa, hardcore and metal celebrated and created side by side! viva Manolito mi hermano! RVA!!!

We will be closed on Friday January 30th because F*ck THI$ $HIT! Let’s see if we can make them listen with a little old fashioned collective action. Come and see us tomorrow for the last official day of $2 Oyster January! The only ice we support is crushed under our bivalves and chilling our cocktails. Power to the people!
