Steady Birth

My husband calls this smile my “puppy baby” smile. It’s a smile that apparently only comes out when I’m holding puppies or babies. Because…duh. 🥹
I actually rarely hold my clients’ babies. I never ask - it’s their sweet, brand new little human they just worked hard to meet! But you better believe I say “yes” when offered or asked. It’s the biggest treat.

This is my first run postpartum. My baby is 6 months old. It was a 10 minute alternating run/walk.
And it felt SO good. 🥳
Postpartum is the long game. I am still healing, still rebuilding my strength, still discovering the new ways in which my body has changed this second time around.
I am so grateful and proud of my body AND being so patient is hard. Really hard sometimes. I did pelvic floor PT prenatally and postnatally with . I did “all the things” this time around, and it still took 6 months to get to impact work. Thank you prolapse! 🙃 From here, I build little by little. Adding just a couple minutes at a time. But I’ll get there!
Postpartum, no matter where you are in it, is about celebrating the little wins. The little moments that bring you back to yourself. Or, help you connect with the NEW self you are with THIS baby.
Those little wins add up. And they feel really big. 🩵

Shout out to working parents. This is called 1000 card (literally) pick up. This is what attention on a lot of different things looks like sometimes. He’s cute though. And, I’m soaking in time with just him before the new babe arrives any day (week?) now. 🥹
