Like I told my kids, I’ve been marching for over 30 years, not necessarily because I wanted to, but because I felt like I had to as a second class citizen in my own country. Long before 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️could be found on a mobile phone, or anywhere other than a Pride March devoid of corporate sponsorship.
On Saturday, my protest babies and I hit the streets and had the chance to participate in this powerful installation by . It was an awesome day to show up, speak out, and be surrounded by community.

On International Women’s Day, here’s something that surprised me. 🏀

The top rookie in the Women’s National Basketball Association makes about $78,000.
Same sport.
Same city.
Very different paychecks.
