Mission J.13

Last days in Kodiak, we had the opportunity to serve in many ways as KBM prepared for the big ‘Cyclocross’ event (bike race) on Saturday. It was a huge success with lots of community members present. Lots of group-building as we also debriefed the mission experience around the campfire, having celebrated the baptism of 2 of our members in the Pacific Ocean at Mission Beach.

We are now home safe and sound in Oregon. Thank you everyone for your prayers and support!

Another work day started with prayer and time in God’s word. Cleaning the house yielded some interesting discoveries, including and old-timey night-hat. Visited the historic Russian Orthodox cathedral, which was founded in 1794, before finally sighting a bear fishing in its natural habitat (from a safe distance!).

Early to rise for chapel (and discipleship training), helping run ‘bike camp’ for 2 age groups, processing firewood on Woody Island, exploring, and a group bbq to top it all off. A great day serving together but we are super tired this evening. God is good! Thank you all for your prayers.
