Today marks the final shift for Captain Christopher Thomson. Effective tomorrow morning at 0800, Captain Thomson will retire from the department with over 31 years of service to the City of Portland, Maine.

Captain Thomson was hired in May 1995. He was promoted to lieutenant in January 2012 and captain in August 2014. He was most recently assigned to Peaks Island (Engine 12/Ladder 12/ MedCu 12) on Platoon 4.
