Jillian Dubois Photo and Film is one of the projects that’s going to stick with us for a very long time (and end up in our portfolio). While not a project that pushed the technical skills of website building to their limit, this project pushed artistry and expression to the limit.

Finding ways to create a website thats completely Jillian, in all her unique, nuanced and layered ways, was truly a treat for us.

I’ll gush about one thing in particular: in her body of work, Jillian (a Film-First Photographer) loves doing double exposures. We created sections and pages that imitated this very personal detail for her. It’s just one example, but it’s those sorts of details that make the work we do so custom.

Jillian, it’s so bittersweet, this project is over. But we can’t wait to see where this Branding, Copywriting and Website design take you. (And logo design)

So thrilled to be launching .photofilm brand today!

Jillian of the newly minted jduboisphoto.com (.photofilm), has this idea. There is this phenomenal willow tree in her town - a scenic spot next to a bridge that everyone stops and takes the same photo under. It’s a beautiful photo. But it’s the same.

Jillian can’t help but look for another angle, time or method to make it all her own.

From her was born this idea of a willow tree, the bark made of eyes. Eyes that view, that watch, that see. This concept of something so familiar and yet so alien, at once understandable and yet leaving questions.

Jillian isn’t different for the sake of it. She’s just what she has always known.

And this brand can finally say that.
