𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘄?
For many adult learners, it is one of these:
⭐speaking
⭐listening
⭐grammar
⭐confidence
There is no wrong answer, and you are definitely not the only one working through it.
At Lori’s Language Lab, we know that each student starts in a different place. That is why support should feel personal, practical, and encouraging.
Comment with the area that feels hardest for you right now, or send a direct message if you would rather talk privately.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach for younger learners either.
Children, middle school students, and high school students all need different kinds of language support.
⭐A young child learning ESL may also be learning how to read for the first time maybe in two languages. That means English lessons need to support both spoken English and early literacy skills.
⭐Middle school students often face a different challenge. This age is about finding out your thoughts, feelings and your own voice. The clash between family culture and American culture is real. Language support at this stage needs to build both communication skills and confidence in a safe space.
⭐High school students may need help with a whole new set of goals, like college entrance exams, academic writing, reading complex texts, and preparing for future classes.
These needs are very different from adult language learning. Age, stage, and school demands all matter. The right support should match the student, not force every learner into the same model.
If you want to talk about the right English support for your child or teen, send us a message. We would be happy to help.
