Tugboat Tuesday: 41 years ago... where in the world is this?
Would you believe... the tug RANGER was actually on the Clackamas River! It was sent up there to bring down the dredge Amazon from the gravel pit known as as Rich Valley- or what is now called Willamette Cove.

Willamette Wednesday!
A typical morning scene at Willamette Tug's moorage... the tug RANGER heads up river to tend the gravel plant at SW Bond St. while the the TT AMERICA, MARINER, and CHIEF assist the steam tanker BT SAN DIEGO (with Shaver's PORTLAND on the stern) to Swan Island. That's Riedel's dredge Lofgren on the right.
