These aren’t staged shoots. This is real life—real people, real stories—and my job is to create photographs that help organizations connect, raise support, and keep their mission moving forward.

Here’s a shoot I did with Awakenings Coffee Roasters at the end of last year—great brand, great people, and a perfect example of how strong visuals elevate a local business.

There was a season when I lost my sight, long before photography was even part of my life. I had no idea it would lead me here. Now I make my living creating images, telling stories, and doing work I once couldn’t have imagined—and I’m just getting started.

Being his dad comes first, but every once in a while, I get to be both dad and photographer at the same time. He never wants his photo taken, so I don’t push it, but today he just went with it, and I took this on the deck. The last couple of years have hit me; he’s grown up fast, taller, sharper, not a kid anymore, but not an adult yet. The sun felt good, the light was right, and I’ll take moments like this every time.
