You read that right. You’ve always been so good at reading. It was always one of your best qualities…you know, before the accident. Since then, things have been different. You’ve stopped releasing albums and started releasing these confounded little anomalies called…what is it, an extended play? Oh, pity. You’ve always had so much to say. Now things are so different.

Well, we ought to celebrate anyway, I suppose. Why don’t we get a bill together with some of the most exciting talent on the rise in this little city of ours? My 23.5min prog epic “I’m Afraid You’ll Starve” is out everywhere now. I played just about every guitar in my studio on it, every synth i own, and abandoned the click track after about 3 and a half minutes in. It was inspired by Merry’s () album You & Me in the Miracle Machine, which proved to me that one-woman-band prog was possible, and in response, I set out to create a song longer than anything she’d released as a creative exercise.

I wrote it in the midst of a confusing relationship, primarily directed towards someone I was scared of falling in love with at the time. It’s stuck in the middle of a thousand different conflicting emotions, with desire and fear standing out the most. In other words, it’s about how I fall in love, all chaos and internal turmoil fully intact.

Happy new year and happy 1 year anniversary to my 1st Elle Archer album Real & Fake. Here’s to another year of music and life and love and everything in between. I love all of you.
