Oregon is what is called a low-incidence state for TB. That means that compared to other areas of the U.S. and the world, we do not have very many active cases of TB each year. In 2025 there were 100 cases of TB reported in Oregon, which was higher than in last 10 years.
The increase in reported cases means that treatment and prevention is still very important. At the OHA TB Program our mission is the eliminate TB in Oregon. We work towards this goal by partnering with local public health in each county and with private medical providers in the state to provide training, facilitate lab testing, supply medication for treatment and fund other supportive services.
Until Oregon has no more cases of TB we will continue to do this important work for all Oregonians.

The TB Program would like to recognize and thank our amazing partners in Oregon at all our local public health departments, non-profits, and community organizations across the state for all the incredible work you do daily to ensure the health of Oregonians! 🌟 We truly appreciate all the nurses, community health workers, health educators, program managers, epidemiologists, and administrators statewide who, day after day, show up and make a difference! Our state is healthier because of you, and our program would be less accessible and harder pressed to work towards our vision of a state, nation, and world without TB if we didn’t have your fantastic partnership. You work tirelessly to provide disease and health education, treatment, and care to everyone, often doing so without much recognition for your efforts and selflessness. Let’s keep building these partnerships in health, equity, and care together! You are all so valuable to this work!
