Let’s get the introductions out of the way. We’re JK Floating. We’re an independent P.E.V. repair shop located in Gresham, OR. We’ve been operating for just about 3 years now, starting out in 2020, and have basically grown the business from the ground up on nothing but word of mouth recommendations. Today, we’re stoked to be relaunching a bit of our social media and show off a bit of what we’re up to! 🤟

“Hey! How’d you come up with the name?”

Good question. Even though there’s a few people working here now, the guy who started it all is none other than the man himself: Mr. John Kirkpatrick. He’s the JK. The Floating? If you ride onewheel, then you’re probably all too familiar with expression “float life.” To this day there’s still no one word that better describes the feeling of being on a onewheel.
We’ve messed around with other PEVs like scooters, or e-bikes (and John has even got himself a new EUC addiction!) but our speciality and first true love was with onewheel and so JK Floating is the name that just made the most sense.
