Vote for Vasquez

This past Thursday, January 2nd, 2025, I, Nathan Vasquez, was sworn in as Multnomah County’s next District Attorney.

I want to share my gratitude for all of those who helped make this possible. Thank you to my wife, my children, my team, everyone at the DA’s office, and to all of you who have supported me throughout this journey.

I can promise you that moving forward this office shall always seek justice for victims and the community. May we be guided by the words of DA Mike Schrunk “Do the right thing for the right reasons.”

Thank you all again for your support. I look forward to serving this wonderful community for the next four years.

I am humbled by and grateful for the support I have received from the voters and from this community throughout my campaign. The voters have made it clear that they are ready to take our county in a new and safer direction.

As Multnomah County’s elected District Attorney, I am dedicated to fulfilling my campaign promises. I am committed to ending open air drug dealing and drug use while helping connect individuals to treatment, to rebuilding the broken relationships between the DA’s office and the community, and to ensuring that victims are the number one priority of my office.

I spoke with Mike Schmidt this afternoon and he conceded the election. I want to thank him for his professionalism and service to our community. I look forward to working with my colleagues in the DA’s office, with community partners, and with the public to help build a safer Multnomah County for all of us.

I want to take a moment and give my incredible wife, Malia Vasquez, a special shout out. While campaigning is hard work, being the partner of someone campaigning is definitely harder. But she has been a constant source of support, strength and patience on this journey to fight for our community. Malia - you are an amazing woman who should be front and center. Thank you for sacrificing so much for me, for this campaign, and ultimately, for our community. ♥️
