Reports of Portland’s demise have been highly exaggerated.

Does our downtown core have challenges? Of course. But we are poised in a make-or-break moment for this city, and it’s all-hands-on-deck time. Check the gift link in my bio for Greg Higgins’ call to Portlanders to come downtown for a meal, a bouquet, museum, a book or a show. If we can build this foundation now, then the James Beard Public Market, the new PSU venue, the renovated Keller, the new plazas and other projects underway will be able to thrive when they open over the months and years to come!
