Wild Root Edible Landscaping

Hi friends,

We found someone selling 15 acres within Portland city limits that we would love to turn it into a large-scale food forest and nursery! For those who haven’t visited the food forest, we are currently on less than an acre, which has been a wonderful opportunity. However, as years go on and the food forest is becoming more self-sustaining, we want to create more biodiverse ecosystems in town for people to connect with the land and learn how to work with it.

The owner has offered the property at an incredible price because they understand our vision and don’t want to see the land developed, but they also need a large down payment.

As you might have guessed, we don’t come from money, and could use help/guidance. If anybody has any connections to investors, philanthropists, institutions, kind old souls with large amounts of money sitting around, early 20th century cartoon mobsters with big bags with money signs painted on them…
Please, let us know. We have a deep, sincere desire to save these 15 acres from development, grow food and medicine while rehabilitating an ecosystem, healing the land and ourselves. I know it’s a longshot, but longshots have big payouts, and sometimes people come together and amazing things happen. Thanks for reading 💚
