It’s the last wedding of the season today so it felt like a good time to throwback to this sweet wedding from the same time last year ❤️🍁 It’s always such a blessing when the rain holds off on a November day we can take portraits outside in the stunning fall colors!

Just because you’re getting married in a church or another indoor location doesn’t mean you can have beautiful outdoor portraits! After J & A’s church wedding and reception, we headed out to a gorgeous park and took these incredible portraits. With the busyness of the wedding day already over, we were able to capture these intimate moments in a laid back and leisurely manner. Nothing sweeter than capturing those first few hours of wedded bliss 🤍✨

K & M’s day was EVERYTHING I love about backyard weddings! They got married in a small ceremony in the forest behind her parent’s home (a log cabin her dad built himself, I was utterly obsessed!) Surrounded by trees in the foothills of the Cascades. Their day was intimate, sentimental, and just plain ol’ fun. They didn’t let a little rain stop them from having a good time! Dancing in a downpour, does it get more romantic?! Being welcomed into these special moments is a privilege I don’t take lightly 🤍✨

I’m learning a lot in my personal life that perspective is everything… and it plays out so obviously in photography! Being a photographer means being able to see the big picture, the little details, and everything in between. I love capturing a mix of those wide, far away photos that set the scene and those super up close and personal shots that show emotion so clearly. Photography isn’t just taking pictures, it’s storytelling 🤍✨
