✨Incase we Haven’t Met✨ I’m Rachel, an HSID fundamentals Graduate and a current student of their masters program. I love design in all formats. I began with hair design and longed to Design on a larger scale, Aurum Interiors is my business and the name comes from the Latin word for Gold (which is the reason gold is Au on the periodic table) as you can tell from this picture of me at my internship at I wear a Gold prosthetic. I am a childhood cancer survivor and I lost my eye at 18 months old. I wear the Gold prosthetic to be authentically who I am, as well as to raise awareness and let people know I’m open to questions (and in true designer form, if you have a space you can elevate… why wouldn’t you?) I’m so grateful for your support. And thank you for following along!

Appreciation Post: I’m so grateful for the education offered at never in my wildest dreams did I think I could find a program so curated to an industry, that I could enter knowing so little and leave with all the tools I needed to start my business. HSID offers amazing curriculum paired with the most incredible instructors who focus on teaching not only the fundamentals of design, but also the most CURRENT and industry relevant material. I will never stop being thankful for the education and relationships I’ve made at Heritage.
