Solomon depicted wisdom and understanding as a woman whose presence blesses life beyond measure. Having wisdom, and gaining understanding, will bring more profit to life than anything silver or gold could buy; not precious jewels nor any other luxuries compare with the value of wisdom and understanding! Though we dress ourselves outwardly with costly adornments, such things will never bring long life, honor, and peace. But wisdom and understanding from God produce a life blessed with joy and contentment.
