Well, the weather may not be quite as nice as it was when this photo was taken, but that doesn't mean you can't learn to defend yourself and meet the State of Michigan requirements to be eligible to obtain your CPL!

Come join us Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 8:00 AM (plan to be with us until 5:00 PM). You just have to bring Eye and Ear protection (Limited supply available for purchase at the class), a defense tool and 50 rounds (Rentals available for a nominal fee), and a sack lunch (or stop next door at Blue Kitchella for a fast, but awesome meal and bring it back to class to eat) and clothes for the outdoor range during the last 3 hrs. of the class.

June 1-2 Brian Hill with the Complete Combatant will be in town teaching his two day pistol optic principles class (previously two day red dot concepts). Brian has been a coach since he was a teenager and has honed his skills to bring the best techniques to you. This class is perfect for those looking to really learn how to run a red dot (or green or any other color dot). Brian will coach you to shoot the platform better, but he will also coach you on how to be the best self-coach you can be so that you can continue to improve beyond the coursework you complete while he is present.

June 15-18 Massad Ayoob will be here for the second year in a row to present MAG-40. This course is somewhat flexible in design as you can take MAG-20 (June 15/16) and reap the benefit of Mas' years of experience in a classroom setting. During this time legal information regarding self-defense will be presented in an easy to digest way that makes you more prepared as a personal defender. Or you can take MAG-20 live fire (June 17/18) where you put the principles of defending yourself with a firearm into action with live fire drills and exercises designed to get you to experiment with different techniques for shooting, while improving accuracy and timing. While the courses are best when they are combined (this means you take all 4 days), we understand that four days can be a lot to do all at once, which is why we keep the course flexible. This course is a MUST have for those who carry a gun everyday, or who are working on getting to the point that they feel comfortable carrying a gun.
