Chesterton Art Fair to celebrate its 67th year at Dogwood Park on Saturday and Sunday Aug 1-2

The Chesterton Art Fair—a Duneland institution for more than half a century—will celebrate its 67th year at Dogwood Park on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 1-2.

This premier juried art festival has a deep history of providing a stellar experience for both participating artists and visitors. This year the Chesterton Art Fair will draw more than 90 artists from across the Midwest and beyond while featuring live music, family activities, food vendors, and free parking for the nearly 4,000 expected to attend.

Hours:

*10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1.
*10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2.

The Chesterton Art Fair is held at the lovely Dogwood Park, 1504 S. 23rd St., Chesterton, a municipal park with plenty of shade trees and amenities. The event is accessible to all and handicap parking is available.

“The Chesterton Art Fair is an annual tradition bringing thousands together for a two-day celebration of the arts, and this year will be no exception,” Chesterton Art Center Executive Director Hannah Hammond-Hagman said. “We have wonderful artists from all over the country. We have artists joining us from across the Midwest, the East Coast, Florida, and California. Also this year, all family activities will be offered at no additional charge, so join us for a beautiful weekend appreciating and creating art.”

LIVE MUSIC

Live music will begin at 10 a.m. each day:

*Saturday, Aug.1: Marco Villarreal, The Billy Foster Tribute, and Bowman + Rose

*Sunday, Aug. 2: Marco Villarreal, The Sharks, and Jeff Young.

FOOD

The fair will also include a wonderful variety of food vendors:

*Lucy’s Tacos.
*Dog Days Ice Cream Parlor.
*Fresh Start Food Truck.
*Travelin’ Toms Coffee of the Dunes.

TICKETS

Tickets for the Chesterton Art Fair are $5 per person. Children 12 and younger are free.

Tickets will also be available at the gate on the day of the event.
