Seven years ago, today (April 30, 2019), Hair Obsessions had a "hair-raising" encounter that made the headlines!

It all started on a busy Tuesday afternoon when Maria got a frantic phone call. The voice on the other end had a panicked Southern drawl: “There’s an alligator out your door!” Maria and the team rushed to the window just in time to see a woman in a red SUV pointing at the sidewalk. When they went to get a closer look, the little guy decided to show off his pearly whites and started heading toward them!

As a New Jersey native who didn't even grow up with a dog, Maria wasn't taking any chances—she got everyone inside and called for backup. 👮‍♂️

A huge thank you again to the Port Richey Police Department (Captain Koch, Sergeant Russo, and Officer Runge) for herding our friend safely back to his retention pond.

Maria’s take on the size? “It was tiny, but it looked big in person. Big enough!”
