Update on the major flight delays happening across the US today: The FAA implemented a nationwide ground stop due to a computer issue, causing over 9,600 flights to be delayed and over 1,300 to be canceled. This is the first national grounding of flights in about two decades and it's causing major disruptions for major carriers like Southwest, United, Delta, and American Airlines.
The FAA is currently investigating the cause of the issue and working to fix it, but they assure us that they expect normal operations to return by Thursday.
Stay updated and check with your airlines for the latest flight information.
