The little ones are now 2 weeks old!! Their s*x I’ll put under each of the photos. So far no one is reserved 🙂
All hedgies that are ready to go have all been spoken for. Stay tuned for in a few days when we post one of our last mamas litters. They will be two weeks old at this point but we are expecting some cuties. From what I’ve seen there are 5 🙂
Over the past few years there have been breeders and pet homes across the United States whom I have dispersed my hedgies.
And within the last few months I have dispersed some of my best lines and entrusted them to breeders that I have grown a very close bond to over the years.
I came into breeding wanting to make a difference not only in the hedgehogs but the community.
Black hedgehogs had begun to get a bad rep as gorgeous as they are for various health problems and inbreeding issues that occurred years ago before we were able to introduce more lines. My goal was to improve the temperment and inbreeding coefficients in these hedgehogs while keeping their gorgeous color. And I got a pretty good start!
Now we come to the reason I am posting this message. I am taking a break 🙂 not indefinitely. I will be going back to college this fall, and with the family plus college my hands are going to be full!! The breeders who have gotten my lines I know are going to do fantastic with them and continue improving their lines as we all share the same goal.
I do have a litter in the nest right now, which I will be posting in a few weeks and we are waiting to see if any of my last females have litters as well. Once they have them/confirm they do not have babies. They will be posted as retirees and I will be done until I graduate!
I hope to continue to be a part of this community, and be a resource to new and existing breeders. And when I do come back, that I get some of those gorgeous lines back and continue with my journey ❤️

One of our pet homes got a photo shoot done if their little hoglet!! And it turned out amazing!! They did such a great job 🥺 and so is his owner! Go Bento!!
Bento came in for a photo session last weekend. He was a fun guy to photograph. He is just a little hoglet, about the size of a hamster right now. He is also much faster than you might think. I think Bento's little non-matching ears are super cute.
