The 2022 SCCA National Championship Runoffs were held this weekend at Virginia International Raceway. Congratulations to Greg Gyann and Lucian Pancea for finishing 1st and 2nd with their Stohr WF1 cars. I believe this is the 25th National win for Stohr cars. It's also the 20th anniversary of the first Stohr championship won by Mark Jaremko. Thanks guys for all you've done.

July 2, 1907. American inventor/automobile builder and race car driver, John Walter Christie is in France. He is racing his own car, a 20 liter front wheel drive monster, in the Grand Prix de l'Automobile Club de France. He only completed 4 of the 10 laps, but many other famous manufacturers also dropped out or failed to complete the distance, including Mercedes and FIAT. Dan Gurney became the first and only American to win a Grand Prix in his own car, at the Belgian GP in 1967.
