📣📣MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Ashley Coco📣📣

Ashley Coco is Louisiana State and Associate Senior Underwriting Counsel for Stewart Title Guaranty Company.

Ashley has 20 years of legal experience in the areas of bankruptcy, foreclosure, contract drafting and negotiation, property development, title insurance, 1031 exchange, title examination, title curative work and residential and commercial real estate transactions.

Prior to joining Stewart, Ashley was an attorney and title agent at Commerce Title & Abstract Company in Baton Rouge for both residential and commercial transactions, served as head Louisiana counsel for mortgage banking firm Butler & Hosch, and also served as an Attorney Liaison for the Gulf Coast Claims Facility following the Deep Horizon Oil Spill.

Ashley received her BA and BS degrees from Louisiana State University and her Juris Doctorate and degree in Civil Law from LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. She is active in a number of professional affiliations including the Louisiana Bar Association, Baton Rouge Bar Association, American Land Title Association, Louisiana Land Title Association, Louisiana Association of Independent Land Title Agents, Louisiana Department of Insurance Title Advisory Council, International Council of Shopping Centers, and Commercial Real Estate Women. She currently serves on the legislative committee of the Louisiana Land Title Association and is a former board member and past president of the Louisiana Association of Independent Land Title Agents.

Ashley lives in West Baton Rouge with her husband, Greg, and their three daughters. There, she is active in her local church, our club, the Historical Association and the West Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce.

When asked what she likes best about Rotary, she says: “The Rotary Club of Port Allen is truly a group in which stewards of our community can feel at home. Everyone is welcoming and dedicated to caring for our community and its overall well being. As a whole, Rotary provides for the organizational backing and network discourse of an international group while still allowing primary focus to be in each member's own community.”
