Building personal relationships based on trust is crucial. The concept of "having your 12 and 6 o'clock is often used in military and leadership contexts to emphasize the importance of having support and awareness from both superiors (12 o'clock) and subordinates (6 o'clock). The term is also applicable in personal relationships. In the context of burnout prevention and recovery, establishing these personal relationships can play a significant role.

I was a guest on a podcast with John Ughulu, PhD, MA, BS on 21 April. We discussed this very topic of Burnout and frankly I am elated to join this conversation as well.
Burnout prevention and recovery that so many of us may not even realize we are experiencing. Learning and implementing tools and techniques that allow us to build resiliency, while developing a deeper connection with ourselves is paramount. Yes, taking time away is important also, but not always feasible.

Leaders/managers/bosses, play a big role in setting the culture in their organization. What programs/policies/procedures are in place to allow employees to know they are valued team members? I was recently invited to give a talk at a company's monthly "First Thursday" event. This a day set aside for training and education, socializing and connecting with the team. No work is done, everyone is engaged, having fun while learning how to care for themselves and each other. We empowered the team with tips and resources for stress management and Burnout prevention. We talked about the importance of checking in with and checking on each other.

I am a coach who specializes in burnout prevention and recovery. So, I'm here doing my HAPPY 😊 DANCE 💃!
