I just left a meeting with St John’s County commissioners and they are aware we have a problem. But, I NEED YOUR HELP. Clean, healthy waterways are vital to the success and longevity of every community they exist within. Toxic storm water runoff and nutrient overload lead in one direction only: harmful algae blooms and the death of aquatic habitats. But, we have the ability to right the ship, mitigate the runoff and restore the Guana watershed. The time to act and be proactive is NOW. Please email the commissioners of St John’s County listed above. Encourage them to adopt a “reasonable assurance plan” to mitigate the harmful runoff entering the watershed and address the looming ecological disaster within the Guana Preserve.
