Case in point: this gathering room invites everyone in the family to kick off their shoes and stay awhile. A hand-knotted Oushak in washed sea blues, with colorful accesnts and warm neutrals anchors the room. It's layered against a green textured-stripe ottoman and finished with white draperies featuring an orange embroidered trim — pattern-on-pattern that works because the palettes play together. Effortless, collected, and made to actually be lived in.
