I just learned that we have lost a legend - Jim Livingston. For the legions of us who call Woodburn Dragstrip our home, Jim made a huge impact on us all. For all the stories we each can tell of Jim running a highly efficient Dragstrip, passionate about keeping Cars moving and having no unnecessary delays - Robbie Sours Lawrence and I have a much softer side story of Jim. October 1st, 2005, I drove our A/Fuel Car to our Wedding, where Robbie and I tied the knot. Jim and Lynn so kindly attended our Wedding, even dancing during our reception. I was able to clip a less-than-awesome quality picture of the two of them on the dance floor below. It's a wonderful memory that Robbie and I will cherish.
We are deeply sorry for the loss that the family is enduring. Few people have made a bigger difference in so many lives over so many decades as Jim Livingston.
