A shout out to our athlete of the quarter Hillary Gibbons!!

Here’s where you may or may not know about her…. Hillary started CrossFit in March 2025 more than 10 years after her husband Derek.
But that hasn’t stopped her at all because she has caught up with him in less than a year!!!!

An avid soccer player since a young age Hilary is the mom to three boys and no surprise also a teacher. She is patient and kind, hard-working, and has the ability to be coached effortlessly.

Her favorite memory is when she got a bar muscle up! She likes to run the other way when it comes to wall balls, but who can blame her? Stretching is actually her favorite. Things next on her list handstand walks and double unders.

Aside from her natural athletic talent she can also ride a unicycle!! She’s extremely active with her family participating in basketball and ninja and everything else under the sun.

Hilary‘s favorite restaurant is anything with breakfast and her perfect day would be breakfast in bed and then reading a book so let’s get on that breakfast Derek!

A store we all want to know more about is that time when you are 10 and you hike a mountain all by yourself in Colorado?!?!

Congratulations Hilary you are an amazing person and we are happy to have you as our athlete of the quarter!

Not sure how I let Don’s post slip away!! Don was the athlete of the quarter and passed the torch to Sydney.

We had the pleasure of naming Don our athlete of quarter two. Since then he has gotten his first bar muscle up and ring muscle up and has not stopped there!! Stronger, faster, better that sums him up!

Don startedCrossFit in January 2023 through the Plymouth Rec Dept and has been dedicated ever since.
He loves to play golf with friends and pick up basketball co****le is also always a favorite.
His favorite movement— Back squats and his least favorite burpees…who knew😂

His advice to new members leave your ego at the door. Technique is key to getting new movements.

His favorite place is a log cabin on the lake in Maine and his perfect day would be that with his family having food from Tavern on the wharf after going to the gym of course.
