Our Summer Interns in Camden, NJ had the opportunity to attend today’s press conference at the Camden County Municipal Utilities Authority (CCMUA) with environmental leaders from across New Jersey to celebrate a significant investment in the future of Camden County Government’s water quality and stormwater systems.

Interns stood alongside Camden County Commissioners Lou Cappelli, Jeffrey Nash, and Jennifer Cooley-Fleisher. City of Camden Government’s Mayor Victor Carstarphen, Senator Nilsa Cruz-Perez, and Councilman Leyba-Martinez also joined in the announcement.

Go Green Initiative is hosting a free 75-minute webinar featuring district leaders from East St. Louis, a tribal school community in Western New York, and a rural border community in West Texas, joined by a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) specialist. These are Cohort 1 districts that have done the hard work of improving air quality in their schools. Two of them are 2026 NSBA (The National School Boards Association) Magna Award winners. Tomorrow, they'll show exactly how they got there.
