Join By the Bay Health and Dominican University of California for "When My Time Comes: A Community Conversation on Choice, Care & Compassion."

The evening will feature a screening of the acclaimed PBS documentary "When My Time Comes," followed by a panel discussion exploring Medical Aid in Dying (MAID), serious illness, end-of-life care, and compassionate, patient-centered decision-making.

Moderated by Skelly Wingard, CEO of By the Bay Health, the panel includes Dr. Carolyn Rennels (UCSF Health), Deborah Meshel, MSN (Dominican University), Diane Button, and Victoria Wilkinson, BSN (By the Bay Health).

Thank you to everyone who joined us recently for our Half-Day Art for Healing Mini Retreat at Hope Hospice.

Together, we shared a transformative day of creativity, reflection, and connection as participants explored grief through art and compassionate camaraderie. No artistic experience was needed, only a willingness to express, remember, and heal alongside others in a supportive community.

We are grateful to everyone who made this meaningful experience possible and to each participant for bringing their openness, courage, and creativity. It was a beautiful reminder that while every grief journey is unique, healing can be nurtured through connection, self-expression, and community. đź’™

Our CEO Skelly Wingard and Senior VP of South Care Anthony Lupian, LCSW were honored to meet with Congressman Kevin Mullin of California's 15th district yesterday to discuss the importance of sustaining nonprofit hospice care and ensuring compassionate, community-based services remain available to patients and families across our region.

We are grateful for Congressman Mullin's continued support and his commitment to understanding the challenges facing hospice providers. Excited to welcome members of his team for a tour of Mission House, the only dedicated hospice residence in the Peninsula, later this month!

As we celebrate Independence Day and our nation's 250th anniversary, we reflect on the values that unite us: community, compassion, and care for one another.

The historic day is an opportunity to remember the generations who have shaped our communities and spend time celebrating with our loved ones.

We are grateful for the privilege of providing comfort, support, and dignity to individuals and families when it matters most.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Fourth of July!

Yesterday the Hope team celebrated our beloved office manager Gomez Josie as she takes off into retirement!

Josie’s dedication, hard work, and unwavering support for everyone that has come through the doors at the Hope office for the past eight years have made a lasting impact on our team, our organization, and the many people we serve. Through the years, she has been a steady presence, a trusted colleague, and a friend to so many.

Thank you, Josie, for your years of service, your commitment to excellence, and the countless ways you've helped make Hope an awesome office to come to everyday. Your contributions will not be forgotten.

We will miss you and wish you all the happiness, relaxation, and new adventures that retirement brings. Congratulations and enjoy this well-deserved next chapter!
