Meet July's volunteer of the month, Edwin Lim! Since joining Valley Humane in 2021, Edwin has volunteered an incredible 367 hours with our AniMeals program, helping community members in need keep food and supplies on hand for the pets they love.

For Edwin, the best part has been the people: the neighbors he serves and the volunteers he works alongside. AniMeals has deepened his understanding of the challenges families face, and his belief that a little compassionate support goes a long way. Whether it's pet food, supplies, or a friendly conversation, Edwin helps make sure families never have to choose between their budget and their best friend.

Giving back is nothing new for him. Edwin also volunteers at the Museum on Main and spends his retirement traveling to new places, with a very mischievous one-year-old Chorkie named Mya keeping him company at home. Thank you, Edwin, for your dedication, kindness, and heart for this community.

Adoptable kitten Meowzda, CEO & President Melanie Sadek, and the rest of the Valley Humane Society team were thrilled to welcome Senator McNerney today for a tour of our adoption center and the Phil Scholz Veterinary Surgery Center. Thank you for visiting, Senator Jerry McNerney, and for being a champion for animals and the people who love them in our community.
