Seven years strong. Shim's Ride began as an epic journey among friends supporting Mathew "Shim" Szymanowski after a devastating spinal cord injury—and this weekend, the Shim's Grand Prix once again brought the Vancouver cycling community together in full force. Supporting Shim's Ride has been an honour since the beginning — an organization turning community and bike racing into real funding for spinal cord research through the Praxis Spinal Cord Institute .
