Believe it or not, this room I’m standing in is the kitchen! This 18 inch floor board is the widest one in the home. The average is probably 10 inches. These boards are likely over 100 years old, but it’s hard to tell. I do know for certain that a slate roof was nailed to one side of these boards, and they were all covered in square nails.

This property was approximately 33 acres before we bought it. 15 acres was split off for us. Another home sits on 18 acres with three horses, a donkey and a cow named Solo. A fence has not yet been built to keep the animals on their 18 acres so they graze over to our 15 acres every day. We love seeing them on our side!

We came out here on July 10th to check out this amazing property, 20 minutes outside of Nashville. Lisa was pregnant with Josephine and that’s our dog Finnley. It needed lots of work but we couldn’t pass up the land and beautiful view.
