The distance and angle of a fixture changes the result more than the fixture does. It's the part that doesn't show up on the spec sheet.

We adjust placement on almost every tree, every installation. The fixture spec is the starting point; what you do with it on site is the actual work.

A few things we check before we're done:
🌳 distance from the trunk
↕️ vertical angle
👓 light placement relative to the primary viewing direction.

Small adjustments. Significant difference.

It sets expectation. It signals intent. It tells a visitor whether the design was thoughtful or generic.

We don't sleep on entries when we design. Not because they're the most technically complex part of a project, but because they're the part that makes a first impression and sets the tone for the rest of the project.
