For folks who've been wondering about the adoptee retreat this year: It's still happening 10/25/25. Well, political trauma happened, and planning started much later than usual. Due to the world being on fire and whatnot, the retreat will be one day this year. We'll meet in Dallas Texas (near 75/635) and registration will open once the contract is complete. Ethics are coming! Hosted by Univ. of Maryland School of Social Work. I'll be teaching this (popular) live, virtual session on 10/31. We will compare the OVC ethical standards for serving victims of crime with various Codes of Ethics, and work through some case examples together. Ethics isn't always the most exciting topic but I promise it will be bearable! I hope you'll join us.
