Dr. David Sakura, one of our keynote speakers, was interviewed by Monica Hernandez WMUR. He was imprisoned with his family (and thousands more innocent people) during WWII solely because of their J*panese heritage. Those who were able to meet him in person at Plaistow Public Library were deeply moved by his story. If you missed him, give this interview a spin. It’s powerful stuff. New Hampshire man recalls entering J*panese internment camp at age 6 During World War II, tens of thousands of American citizens were forced into detention centers around the country because of their J*panese ancestry. David Sakura, now of Thornton, was one of those citizens.
