LGA Partners

Over the past few months, LGA's David Teufel and Gianna Southard, as well as a few other volunteers, partnered with NOMAPgh and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania to help lead an Architecture & Design Teen Council program, introducing students to the fundamentals of architecture, design thinking, and the many career paths within our profession.
Through hands-on mentorship, the students learned how architects communicate ideas, explored the design process, and developed their own renovation concepts for spaces within the Boys & Girls Club. On Wednesday, they proudly presented their final projects, showcasing creativity, critical thinking, and a genuine passion for shaping the built environment.
We're incredibly proud of Dave and Gianna for sharing their time, knowledge, and enthusiasm with these future designers. Their commitment reflects the impact our profession can have beyond the office, helping inspire the next generation to imagine, create, and advocate for the communities they want to see.
Thank you to NOMA Pittsburgh and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania for creating such a meaningful opportunity.

LGA had the pleasure of collaborating with our long-time client, American Eagle Outfitters, on their new Design Office at 63 Madison Ave., NYC. This project highlights the success that can be achieved through a collaborative, all-hands-on-deck, team approach.
The primary objective was straight forward: to bring all AEO brands: American Eagle, Aerie, OFFLINE, and Unsubscribed, & Todd Snyder New York, under one roof. Through extensive programming with end-users and daily collaboration with Workplace Innovation, Facilities, and Leadership, we customized a design that espouses efficiency, wellness, and AEO’s corporate vision. We utilized cloud-based Building Information Modeling (BIM) and real-time collaboration tools to ensure a thoughtful and highly coordinated design process. Today, we’re excited to share a view into our journey.
Spanning two floors and 83,000 square feet, the Phase 1 scope introduced impactful spaces that reflect a harmonious combination of each brand's unique character through forms, materials, and branding elements. Notable spaces include the AEO Board Suite, International office space, the Todd Snyder New York Suite, a versatile Townhall space with a Café & Pre-function Lounge, Visual Lab Stores (simulated retail stores), and a variety of touchdown areas for quick collaboration.

Phase II is nearing completion at the Bethlehem Haven Uptown Flats. Our recent site visit showed exciting progress since our framing was underway, with the new masonry veneer now complete and taking shape.
Designed to support Bethlehem Haven's mission, this project is such a rewarding one. The flats will provide 34 new affordable low-income housing units for residents in need. We look forward to the day residents can move into the thoughtfully-designed new spaces.
