The City of Pittsburgh has announced a significant investment in the future of our fire service, with $20 million dedicated to the replacement of fire apparatus through grant funding made possible by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and UPMC.
The members of Pittsburgh Fire Fighters IAFF Local No. 1 are grateful for this commitment to the safety of our firefighters and the communities we proudly serve every day.
Reliable, modern fire apparatus are essential to protecting lives, responding to emergencies, and ensuring our firefighters have the equipment they need to do their jobs safely and effectively.
We extend our sincere thanks to UPMC and Highmark for their continued dedication to the City of Pittsburgh and their investment in public safety. Partnerships like these help strengthen our emergency response capabilities and make Pittsburgh a safer place for everyone.
Together, we’re building a stronger, safer Pittsburgh!
