We can’t stop raving about the brand-new bikes our Summer Day Camp students received from Pro Bike+Run and . It was a blessing to see the community come together to love on our students and teach them new skills. This was a great addition to our camp activities. Thank you to everyone who helped make an impact one person, one family, one block at a time. The Lord is faithful!

We’re back with another exciting instrumental recital! Join us on July 23rd for a beautiful time of worship led by our Jazz Band, Praise Band, and Youth Orchestra students as they perform praise songs including “How Great is our God”, “Living for the City”, and “Firm Foundation”. You’ll even get a sneak peek of the soundtrack for our upcoming summer performance UI Live: Steadfast. Our students can’t wait to share their talents with you as we lift up the name of Jesus together.
Admission is free and light refreshments will be provided after the performance.

Juneteenth, short for June 19th, commemorates the arrival of federal troops in Galveston, Texas, on June 19, 1865, to ensure the release of enslaved African Americans who had been declared free two years earlier under the Emancipation Proclamation of 1863.

As followers of Christ, we join in His mission of holistic freedom. We are especially reminded of the significance and expression of that mission during Juneteenth.

We observe this holiday as a historical reminder, but also as a present-day invitation to continue “to proclaim freedom for the captives” one person, one family, one block at a time.

What an amazing surprise for our Summer Day Camp students! Pro Bike+Run and Pitt unveiled brand-new bikes and helmets to campers, who spent the afternoon riding through Allegheny Park. Several students even learned to ride for the very first time. Best of all, these bikes will stay at Urban Impact, providing fun, growth, and new opportunities for many more students in the future. 💛🖤
