My simple video post a few weeks ago of me finding my photo in use at a local library led to an amazing internship opportunity for my daughter! The coincidences and timing for this to happen are just crazy! Sometimes things happen in the most unexpected ways. 🥰

We are excited to welcome Maleena Dominick as our new Marketing and Communications intern. We'll let Maleena introduce herself and share the very Pittsburgh way she found us!

"My name is Maleena Dominick. I recently graduated from CCAC with a degree in Business Management and will be entering Slippery Rock University’s honors college in the fall as a Marketing major.

The way I got this internship is an interesting story!

My mother is a stock photographer, and her photos get used all over the world. One day, she was at a library and saw a flyer for Literacy Pittsburgh using a photo of her and I from my high school graduation photos. She posted a reel of it online, showing the different places her stock photos end up. Literacy Pittsburgh saw it and reached out to her to share how cool it was that we were from Pittsburgh. My mom mentioned that I was a marketing student looking for a marketing internship and asked if there was any chance that Literacy Pittsburgh was looking for one. Luckily for me, there was an opportunity! I am very excited about joining this team."
