Three Reed Awards — including our first for a broadcast TV ad and a campaign website.
Last night at the Campaigns and Elections Reed Awards, Fifth Influence was honored with three national awards for our work on the Heather Schmidt Bresnahan for Judge campaign:
🏆 Best Online Video – Biographical – Democrat
🏆 Best Website – County, Local, or Judicial Campaign
🏆 Best TV Ad on a Shoestring Budget – Democrat
Judicial races present a unique strategic challenge. In crowded countywide contests with long ballots, the objective is often less about persuasion and more about clarity, recognition, and trust.
Every piece of creative—from video to broadcast to digital presence—has to work together so the candidate stands out when voters reach that section of the ballot.
In this post we’re sharing two photos from the Reed Awards ceremony along with three mobile views of the campaign website that helped earn the award for Best Website – County, Local, or Judicial Campaign.
We’re proud of the work and grateful for the collaboration behind it.
Thank you to Heather Schmidt Bresnahan, Mike Veon, and Lisa Baldis for the partnership and trust.
And congratulations to the incredible Fifth Influence team behind the campaign: John Craig, Billy Jo Molinari, Michael Pernice, Tanya Posavatz, Ariadna Bledà Ripoll, and George Potts.
We’re honored to see this work recognized among so many outstanding campaigns from across the country.
In down-ballot races, recognition is often the real battleground.
A narrative is forming that Pittsburgh is becoming a “news desert.”
That story is incomplete.
This week we launched the “At Work” campaign with the Center for Media Innovation at Point Park University for the Pittsburgh Media Partnership to show something important:
- Local journalism is still here.
- It’s thriving across Southwestern Pennsylvania.
- And more than 40 newsrooms are working together to strengthen the future of local news.
The campaign also invites the public to actively support local journalism and the reporters doing the work that keeps our communities informed.

This campaign will run through May 2026, and it moved quickly. We kicked the project off on February 9, and our team completed concept development (27 ideas explored, 4 finalists presented), creative production, and media planning in just three weeks.
Huge thanks to Andrew Conte, Kimberly Palmiero, and Debra DeCourcy for their collaboration and leadership. Thank you Press Forward for your support and the entire PMP membership for their enthusiasm.
