Last week, our crew was hard at work at the Scenic Pittsburgh Colwell Connector Project, helping to improve and restore this important community green space.

Our team focused on:

✅ Invasive plant management and removal
✅ Planting trees and a variety of fruit-bearing plants, including apple trees, blueberry bushes, and pear trees
✅ Installing tree and shrub protection to prevent deer grazing damage
✅ Providing corrective pruning on trees planted by Landforce in 2025
✅ Repairing and improving planting areas to support healthy plant growth and long-term sustainability

Through these efforts, the crew is helping create a healthier, more resilient landscape while ensuring newly planted trees and shrubs have the best opportunity to thrive for years to come. 🌳🍎🫐🍐

Week one is officially complete! Our crew members have graduated and are already out on site doing the work, and we couldn’t be prouder. Watching their growth this first week has been incredible, and we’re excited to see where this journey takes them as part of our crew. Here’s to just the beginning! 💪🌱
