APPLICATION:
DC power back up at a sewage lift station for continued PLC, radio and level instrumentation power.
CUSTOMER ISSUE:
Needed to maintain communications, PLC control and wet well level measurement at multiple sewage lift stations even if the main power is lost. Needed DC power back up at stations with generators in case generator failed to start.
OUR SOLUTION:
Installed Puls UPS Controller with battery, Puls 24 VDC power supply and DC to DC converters. Customer now has both 12 VDC and 24 VDC power available to maintain station communications, station control and wet well level measurement. The Puls UPS Controller also provides an alarm output to the station PLC to notify maintenance personnel of the loss of main power.

A customer was having maintenance issues with their older free CL2 analyzer, including constant refilling of expensive reagents and clogging of the sample input..
To solve this we installed an FC80 free chlorine analyzer by Electro-Chemical Devices. This unit utilizes amperometric CL2 measurement technology. It requires no reagents and has pH compensation as well as automatic input sample flow control. No rotameter or flow control device required. Now maintenance is a breeze and the customer has a reliable, cost-effective analyzer.
